GIVING OPTIONS

Avoid income tax and potential estate tax on your retirement plan while making a significant gift to Stairways from your 401k or IRA Retirement Plan.

How it works:

• Contact the plan custodian or account holder about a T.O.D. (Transfer on Death) or beneficiary designation form.
• Name or designate Stairways Behavioral Health (Tax ID # 25-1271559) to receive all or a portion of the assets of your IRA, 401k, or other qualified retirement plan.
• Important! Tell Stairways Behavioral Health about your gift. Your plan administrator is not obligated to notify us, so if you don’t tell us, we may not know.

Benefits:

• Continue to take lifetime withdrawals.
• Maintain flexibility to change beneficiaries if your family's needs change during your lifetime.
• Your heirs avoid the potential double taxation on the assets left in your retirement account.
